Topic: Looking beyond dollars and cents - Bridging gap between Finance and IT to create value by Raja Pabba, M.S., MBA
Across industries, technology is changing everything. Companies are now looking for ways to create value with QUEtechnology function. New technologies like Mobile, Bid Data, Iot (Internet of Things) are becoming the source for new growth opportunities and means for competitive advantage. Companies have to invest to take advantage of these opportunities. At the same time Finance executives are asked to manage the precious resource - Cash, effectively. Similarly CIO/CTO's on one hand are under pressure to cut costs without compromising service quality and on the other drive investments to enable capabilities that promote growth. Driving the corporate agenda to capture value from Technology requires to look beyond cost lens and move toward strategic value creation. This requires both Finance and CIO/CTO's executive to collaborate and partner on initiatives by understanding each other's role and issues. In this session, issues faced by both Finance and CIO/CTO executives in balancing the technology goals with financial goals are presented. Also, practical ideas on how to collaborate and build healthy relationships to drive mission critical investments is discussed.
Please come out to support this event. It will be an opportunity to meet someone from IMA who can provide more information on the organization including future CPD events and recruitment opportunities in the DFW area.
This event will qualify for CPD credit.
Siobhan is looking forward to a great turnout.
